Financial Accountant (Kildare)

Optimize Recruitment are partnering with a high performing business who offer a marketing and distribution service across the Island of Ireland for both local and international brands.
Since establishing their business over 25 years ago they have become a market leader across their industry.

This role will join a successful, established business and report to the Head of Finance.

Role and responsibilities:

• Ensure that all key reports and reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner by supporting the daily activities of the finance department

• Intercompany journals and intercompany reconciliations

• Preparation of detailed month end reporting pack which including KPI and variance analysis & providing commentary on analysis and trends

• Balance sheet reconciliations & inventory management

• Coordinate all audit processes and queries

• Review of daily bank and PSP reconciliations

• Oversight & review of AP processes and ensuring that all invoices are paid on time

• Weekly cashflow reporting and detailed variance analysis

• Provide support on budget/forecast process for business

• Deliver accurate and timely reporting and managing stakeholder expectations

• Continuous evaluation and development of department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency

• Ad-hoc analysis and reporting

Requirements for the Role:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) with 2 + years’ experience

• Strong attention to detail and deadline driven with commercial acumen

• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft NAV highly desirable

• Self-motivated & a team player

• Strong Analytical skills with proficient Excel

• Demonstrate the desire to grow and take on additional responsibility
