Over 1,300 Pandemic Unemployment Payment recipients in the midlands returned to work in the last week.

16,280 people in the region are receiving the income support today.

Westmeath remains the worst affected county, followed by Laois and then Offaly.

Nationally, the number of recipients has dropped by over 29,000 this week.
